Crazy, isn't it? I had seen this scene in a photo magazine several months ago but had completely forgotten where it is. Coincidentally, I started planning a trip to St. Martin and Google'd around for photo ops and found a bunch of pictures at this spot again. I spent about 1.5 hours taking pictures and was completely blown away. And some others were literally blown away.

St. Martin was a nice break from the cold in NYC. I escaped during a particularly bad weekend too and I'm paying the price now. I can't feel my toes anymore.

Bright fluorescent lights, plain white walls, so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Our area in the office almost feels like a mental asylum now. How I wish I can bring the sounds of a flowing stream to my desk.

Where do I get one of those things with flowing water that you put on your desk?

New York is cold today although the 8" of snow that we were supposed to get overnight is nowhere in sight. In less than a week, I will on the beach somewhere warm, but I would be breaking one of my new year resolutions. Good or bad, I don't know.

On a more exciting note, my new digital camera arrived today. My old one which I used to take a lot of my older pictures was stolen in a burglary at my apartment a few months ago, so I had to lug my SLR (which they surprisingly did not take) around whenever I wanted to get pictures. I think this one will be good. :)

I've been in the SF Bay Area for almost 2 weeks now and it's time to fly back to NYC tomorrow. Some might find it hard to believe, but I am homesick. It's been raining like crazy here and freezing in New York, so neither is very appealing right now. At least I'll have my bed in NYC.

The holidays did me more harm than good. I'm supposed to be all rested after the 10-day break, but I am having so much trouble revving up at work again. My brain is still on vacation and I still want to be on vacation.
